NV Integration undertook this two-year project to deliver a showstopping apartment that spans across two floors within a prestigious garden square in Knightsbridge.

The AV integration is carefully considered throughout to create an unobtrusive yet flexible smart home control system for the owner. The Crestron automation system controls all aspects of the home – from lighting to audio throughout the penthouse.

The exceptionally creative space pushes boundaries with materials and finishes throughout with a showstopping central 5-meter-tall bronze-clad fireplace column separating the living and dining areas in the main entertaining space. Pairing these unique materials with vaulted ceilings and strong geometric lines creates a contemporary and show-stopping space for the owner.

There’s even a glass elevator that rises through the apartment to connect the penthouse to the rooftop terrace. This is where the owner can enjoy breath-taking views of the London skyline and has access to another fully featured outdoor media space and open-air dining area.

With such a cohesive and unified design language utilised throughout the apartment, NV Integration knew that the best way to maintain this aesthetic was to integrate Future Automation mechanisms to mount displays in ways that would not distract from Tollgard Design Groups’ creative vision.

This is why NV Integration chose to specify and install the SPS (Sliding Panel System) into the central bronze fireplace in the heart of the penthouse. It enables the homeowner to have the option to completely conceal the display within the fireplace structure when the owner is entertaining guests. The geometric design of the fireplace cladding fully conceals all visible seams created by the SPS’ front panel for a completely inconspicuous installation.

Leon Speakers’ width-matched soundbars were also chosen to deliver precise and accurate audio with custom profiles to match the contours of each display. This enables Leon’s Horizon soundbars to sit flush with the bottom edge of the displays for a clean and minimal look.

By combining Future Automation brackets and mechanisms with Leon Speakers soundbars, NV Integration was able to deliver a consistent premium AV experience across the entire penthouse. With such a wide variety of automated AV systems that have been integrated into this project, it’s no wonder that the space has been nicknamed ‘Batman’s Penthouse’.
